2006 Softball Showdown

Boulder Competitive Girls Softball and the City of Boulder are excited to announce that the 2006 Independence Day Tournament will kick off on Tuesday, June 27, with the "Softball Showdown" between the National Pro Fastpitch Chicago Bandits and the Chinese Taipei National Team. The game will be at 6:00 PM at the Stazio Complex and will be televised by ESPN on a tape delayed basis. The Chicago Bandits feature nine NPF 2005 All Stars. Among the Bandits 2005 All Star players are Trena Peel and Nicole Trimboli, both who got their start playing ASA Softball in Colorado. Advance tickets are no longer available. Tickets will be available on Game Day, Tues 6/27 at 3:30. Gates open at 4:00. Ticket price is $15.

Proceeds from this event will be used to upgrade the existing backstops at the Stazio Complex in Boulder.

The "Softball Showdown" promises to be an exciting addition to the Independence Day Tournament.
